Public Image Ltd, Glastonbury, ‘Other Stage’
With a career spanning over 35 years, John Lydon and Public Image Ltd (PiL) will take to the stage at Glastonbury 2013 for incredibly the very first time in their history.
John Lydon says: “What a great chance for The Rolling Stones and Michael Jagger to see Public Image Ltd and Johnny Rotten at Glastonbury. Hugs and Kisses baby Rockers.”
A very special 2012 for PiL, saw the band release ‘This Is PiL’ their first album for 20 years to huge critical acclaim. From their phenomenal live performance at BBC 6 Birthday Celebrations at Queen Elizabeth Hall to performing at The Record Store Day Official Launch, followed by two sold-out truly sensational shows at London’s Heaven Nightclub and a North American Tour, it was a year filled with many major highlights.
2013 is now set to be another unique year in PiL’s history. With the band currently touring China for the first time ever along with shows in Japan and Australia PiL will be returning to return to the UK in June…. Playing 9th June - Oxford O2 Academy, 10th June - Leicester O2 Academy, 27th June - Brighton Dome, 28th June - Manchester Ritz and June– Glastonbury.
